As 2024 comes to a close, let's look ahead to what's coming in 2025!
Decisions Log 2.0
Our namesake feature is getting a major update! We’ve rebuilt the Decisions Log from the ground up — based on your feedback — to deliver a redesigned interface + full integration with your agenda items.
Enhancements include:
Improved search and filtering: Filter decisions by date, status, tag or channel to easily find and analyze past decisions.
Logging decisions outside of meetings: Decisions will no longer need to be tied to a specific meeting — whether the decision came via email, a quick discussion or any other medium, it can be directly added to the Decision Log for better tracking and documentation.
Easier meeting preparation: Meeting admins will be able to prepare ‘Proposed’ decisions while the agenda is in draft mode. Once the decision is made, the status can be updated to ‘Final.’
Decision titles and descriptions in agenda items: Ensures decision-making remains visible and central to the meeting.
This update makes decision logging more intuitive and efficient, helping your organization stay at peak performance. Look out for it in the new year — we can’t wait for you to try it!
RAPID® Decision-Making methodology
In addition to the Decisions Log 2.0, we’re excited to announce upcoming support for the RAPID decision-making framework, a tool that fosters accountability and improves decision-making processes across teams.
Organizations using RAPID will be able to:
Assign clear roles and responsibilities for each decision.
Designate team members who are required to explicitly approve decisions.
Use powerful new reporting to gain insight into decision ownership, governance and bottlenecks.
Stay tuned for more details in the coming months!
Reminders to generate AI meeting summaries
Forget to generate a recap or minutes following your meeting? You're not alone!
And now you're covered with meeting summary reminders.
This feature will allow you to view a list of your upcoming meetings and choose whether you'd like to receive a notification to create an AI summary after each meeting.
You'll also be able to turn on Teams auto-recording if it's not already enabled (remember, Decisions AI recaps and minutes are most accurate when both a transcript and recording are available).
This feature is currently available to some users, with full roll out expected in the next month.
And don't miss these new features already available in Decisions
Access My Meeting Assistant quick actions on your dashboard
Your dashboard just got smarter! You can now access your AI meeting assistant right from your dashboard with quick action buttons.
Ask My Meeting Assistant for help with scheduling, creating agendas, generating meeting recaps or minutes, or setting reminders — all with just a click.
Note: To make the most of Decisions AI, ensure that an authorized Microsoft 365 admin has approved all the latest permissions for Decisions and Decisions AI within the Decisions Admin Portal; access to AI features may be limited by your internal IT policies or settings.
Find physical meeting rooms with My Meeting Assistant
Struggling to find the perfect meeting room? My Meeting Assistant can now search for rooms by location, building and capacity. This feature is especially helpful for large organizations managing complex schedules.
Note: This feature requires a new permission scope. Microsoft admins will see an "Update needed" notification to enable this functionality in the admin portal.
Improved language tracking for AI recaps and minutes
Decisions now automatically sets the correct English variant (e.g., United States, United Kingdom, Australia, etc.) based on your preferences. This ensures your AI-generated recaps and minutes align perfectly with your regional language settings.
Users with access to Decisions' voting functionality can now view detailed vote reports. After a vote concludes, a "Vote report" button appears directly on the decision, providing an easy way to review how votes were cast (For/Against, Yes/No).
This feature currently applies to individual decisions, with plans to expand it to generate comprehensive vote reports for entire meetings in the future and allow for vote details to be merged into meeting minutes.
Earn free AI credits by inviting colleagues
Running low on Decisions AI credits? You can now earn additional credits by inviting colleagues to join Decisions!
To add credits, navigate to your Decisions settings and click 'Refer a colleague' to send an email invitation.
